Inked “Sunningdale Golf Club” in Berkshire, England on the top of the letter (first page). Measures 13x8". Includes the original mailing envelope. Nicely detail letter, carefully thought out impressions as eluded to in Percy's earlier letter (also offered in this sale). Discusses specific golf techniques and ideas and the proper approach to the game of golf. "With over 30 years of teaching as my background it took me close to four years to write a book...You ask if the 'press forward' is part of the preparatory movement…You say in your letter I take up the stance, 'moving about within it'. I shall borrow that if you don't mind…'Seeing is learned too' you say. That excites me. Please let me know your approach to it via the golf ball. Mine's outlined in the book…I hope to meet you one day & the Professor, over a mug of lager, when this bloody business is over [i.e. WWII]. Both Aubrey [Percy's brother] & my son are fighting.
