Title of volume I within a woodcut historiated border, woodcut initials, some large and from the Kinderschule, woodcut device on titles and final leaves. (Some worming at beginning and end of several volumes with minor damage, occasional light browning.) Contemporary blindstamped pigskin-backed wooden boards, two roll-stamps of the reformers and David playing his harp on covers, metal and leather clasps (several clasps lacking). Provenance : 'TW' (monogram in ink at the foot of each title page). Adams A-2166.
