Audrey Hepburn My Fair Lady, 1964 A collection of correspondence, signed photographs, press clippings and programmes including: - a black and white still of Audrey Hepburn congratulating Jack Warner on winning his Academy Award for My Fair Lady , signed by Hepburn in black felt pen; - a colour machine-print photograph of Hepburn as Eliza Doolittle in her Ascot dress, signed and inscribed in blue felt pen For Richard, Best Wishes, Audrey Hepburn -- 11x8¼in. (28x21cm.) ; - a handwritten note in blue ink from Hepburn to George Cukor, [n.d. but circa 1964, thanking him for a gift and describing her happy, family Christmas in Switzerland... the real thing, snow outside, fires ablaze inside... , she mentions looking forward to ... long still walks... when ..I will be able to make my peace with God for taking away my darling Franzli, signing off A blessed New Year and all our love til soon - Audrey ; - two carbon copies of cables, signed later, from George Cukor to Hepburn, the first 14th July, 1966, congratulating her on her performance in How To Steal A Million ; and her response in a telegram five days later Darling George Just like you to be thoughtful and loving as usual am thrilled Love And Kisses Audrey ; the second, 9th February, 1970 addressed to Luca Dotti, Hepburn's second son by second husband Dr. Andrea Dotti, congratulating him on having chosen wonderful parents , signed Your Hungarian Godfather , in response to a telegram from Hepburn and Dotti announcing the birth of Luca on 8th February, 1970; - a typescript note, signed, from George Cukor to Sir Malcolm Sargent, 13th May, 1965, thanking him for his letter and apologising for not replying sooner... It's taken all this time for the smoke of battle of the Academy Awards to clear.
