This model has reversed the whole watchmaking industry in the 70s with its unexpected octagonal bezel and the tapisserie dial. To this day, it is still influencing the market as it is widely considered as the first luxury sport watch. 2022 is the 50th anniversary of Royal Oak. It goes by the reference 25820SP, which stands for the fact that it is bimetal and made of stainless steel case with 950 platinum bezel, a unique mirror finishing aesthetic impact. According to Audemars Piguet's Extract from the Archives, the watch is made in 2004 and further research shown that no more than 25 pieces were made for this reference 25820SP with white dial for over 17 years of its production. This is the second time of 25820SP in white dial that ever appeared in public auction.
