Full tree calf, probably 19th century. 20 x 13 inches (51 x 33 cm); printed title, engraved colored title (Atlas novus ...opera Johannis Baptistae Homanni), and twenty-six double page hand-colored maps by Johann Baptist Homann. Spine perished, front board, with printed title, detached. The printed title laid down, engraved title and all maps cut around the neatline and laid to heavy laid stock at an early date, one or two with slight to moderate browning. Sold with all faults. A handsome and uncommon work published by Homann to capitalize on his stock of engraved maps, WorldCat notes only the copy at the National Library of Israel. That copy also has the engraved title. A number of similar published atlases of Homann's maps with various collations exist, including another by Huebner with only 18 maps. C
