Cadell Date: 1810 Description: 2 volumes. lxii, [2], 436; (iii)-xvi, 466 pp. Lacking half-title in Volume 2. 14 engraved plates; large folding map. (4to) 27.2x21 cm. (10¾x8¼"), diced half calf and marbled boards. First published in 1741-43 in an edition of only 12 copies, another edition of 100 copies was printed in 1781, a regular edition was published in 1798. The work is fictitious, written by a group of Cambridge dons and students. Lot Amendments Condition: Leather dry and worn, joints and hinges cracking; foxing; about very good. Item number: 229961
