Manuscript, "Association of Polish Refugee Rabbis – a list of refugee rabbis who received support from the Polish government". Jerusalem, 1946. A handwritten notebook in which appears the support payments that rabbis and their families received, mostly Jerusalem residents, from the exiled Polish government residing in London. In the notebook are the names of 62 people who receive support [during February and June 1946], most are renowned rabbis who escaped during the war to Eretz Yisrael. One page is dedicated to each name with family details, details of the amount and manner of payment etc. Among the names: Rabbi Yitzchak Ze'ev Soleveitchik [the Brisker Rav], Rabbi Chizkiyahu Yosef Mishkovsky, Rabbi Meshulam Roth, Rabbi Eliezer Yehuda Finkel, Rabbi Elazar Menachem Mann Shach, Rabbi Chaim Kreiswirth, Rabbi Shlomo David Cahana, Rabbi Zalman Sorotzkin, Rabbi Noach Shimonowitz, etc. [1], 62 written pages. 19.5 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains and wear. The notebook has had secondary use, and on several leaves, many ink inscriptions appear.
