LIMITED EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY from the printer Charles Harry St. John Hornby to Patricia Smith Viscountess Hambleden. This edition was actually printed in 1931 but the ink used was very slow in drying and the sheets were packed before it was dried. The mistake was only discovered when the sheets were unpacked at the binder and Hornby decided to destroy the whole edition with the execption of 10 copies as the book would have been unworthy of the Press. This copy is one of 290 copies on paper of which 250 were for sale; another 20 copies were printed on vellum. Hornby XXXIX.
