GILBERT (1836-1911); WALTER CRANE (1845-1915); LORD LEIGHTON (1830-1896); HENRY IRVING (1838-1905); ELLEN TERRY (1848-1928) & others A collection of approximately 100 autographed items, the majority letters, signed by various emminent victorians, including an autograph note, signed by Wellington, from London, July 11th 1828, to Sir Harcourt Lees, acknowledging a letter; a postcard portrait photograph of Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, signed on the image; a one-page autograph letter, signed by Gilbert, from 90 Eaton Square, S.W., 14th March 1906, to Lady Critchett, proposing a visit; a printed certificate for Dallastype designs, signed by Walter Crane; a two-page autograph letter signed by Lord Leighton, from 9 Coins, Bath, [n.d.], recipient unknown, asking: "whether 'Dante' is in your possession or whether you have sold it -- in the former case I write to ask whether you would permit it's exhibition in Dublin in May next at the forthcoming International Exhibition;" other autograph letters include those by Henry Irving, Ellen Terry numerous French authors, scientists, statesmen, men of law and Churchmen.
