The baluster-form hallmarked column has four scrolled arms which hold scalloped, shell-edged pierced and fluted sweetmeat trays, all bearing hallmarks. The base is of foliate scrollwork and rests on four shell feet; 16" high x 23" across. Weight of trays 34.079 ozt (1060 g); rest of epergne total weight 57.87 ozt (1800 g).
