Art Deco Nephrite, Coral and Black Enamel Desk Clock, Cartier 18 kt., mechanical, the square-shaped nephrite centering a circular engine-turned gold-tone dial with black Roman numerals and railroad track chapter ring, with ornate rose-cut diamond-set hands, encircled by a blue enamel and gold bezel of geometric motif, diameter approximately 44 mm., quartered by 3 square-shaped sugarloaf cabochon corals within gold and black enamel frames, the reverse with brass easel stand, signed Cartier, no. 1057, one coral loose, frame missing, circa 1920. 2 5/8 x 2 5/8 x 11/16 inches. The movement is not running. Nephrite: deep green, several whitish inclusions slightly visible to the eye, close to surface, but does not break surface, minor bruise on reverse near edge, good luster. Coral: medium light orange to medium deep orange, medium luster. One coral loose, missing plaque. Minor black enamel loss on two plaques. Minor spotting on crystal. Overall good condition. 2 5/8 x 2 5/8 x 11/16 inches.
