Jacobs Date: 1908 Description: Edited by Stuart Mason. 160, +[3] ad pp. Portrait frontispiece. (8vo) 7¾x5, original purple cloth lettered in white. One of 475 copies. Tipped in at the front is a 3 page Autograph Letter, Signed by Oscar Wilde. Dated 'Sunday' [c. 1898-1900] from the Hotel d'Alsace, Paris. "Dear Wilmott[?] It is now some 3 weeks since I have had a word from you. Why in the Devils name will you not reply to that perfectly innocent question? Do you please - come - make that trip if but for 2 days. I have that to say to you that I can and dare not put in writing..." Lot Amendments Condition: Spine lettering faded, binding cocked; frontispiece detached; horizontal and vertical folds to letter, some light wear at edges; else very good. Item number: 188872
