A FINE, UNUSUAL AND HISTORICALLY INTERESTING 18K GOLD HUNTER CASE TWO-TRAIN MINUTE REPEATING GRANDE AND PETITE SONNERIE KEYLESS LEVER CLOCK WATCH SIGNED ARMY & NAVY COOPERATIVE SOCIETY LIMITED, 105 VICTORIA STREET, LONDON, NO. 5872, 1891 Gilt-finished three-quarter plate highly jeweled two train keyless lever movement wound by turning the crown to either side, Earnshaw-type spring detent escapement, gilt brass escape wheel, bi-metallic compensation balance with gold screws, double overcoil to the flat blued steel hairspring, free sprung regulator, diamond endstone, minute repeating and en passant striking on two polished steel hammers, gold cuvette with engraved inscription, white enamel dial with Roman numerals, blued steel spade hands, constant seconds, circular case with an engraved representation of the H.M.S. Worcester to the front, the back with engraved initials JHS , quarters/full strike and strike/silence levers underneath the bezel, repeating slide in the band, case and cuvette stamped E.W. and numbered, movement signed and numbered, case stamped with London date letter for 1891 56mm diam.
