Apulischer Kantharos in Kopfform. Canosa, Ende 4. - Anfang 3. Jh. v. Chr. H 18cm, B mit Henkeln 18,9cm, ø Mündung 12,9cm. Zweihenkeliger Becher in Form eines Frauenkopfes. Weiße Engobe und polychrome Malerei. Weiß gedeckt ist die Vs. des Halses und das Gesicht, rot sind die Lippen und Tupfer auf den Wangen. Schwarz sind die Augenlider, die Rs. des Halses, die Haare und Mündung sowie die Henkel. Blau wiederum ist die Haarbinde. Auf dem Hals vorne in Schwarz und Rot Reste einer Halskette. Mit TL-Analyse von 1998! Provenienz: Aus dem Nachlass der niederrheinischen Privatsammlung H.W., für diese im März 2000 aus der Sammlung Winkels, Essen erworben; bei Gorny & Mosch Auktion 252, 2017, Los 151. Apulian figural polychrome kantharos in form of the head of a young woman. Canosa, late 4th - 3rd century B.C. Face and front of the neck are white, the back, hair, mouth and handles are black. The band in the hair is blue, the eyelids are black, the lips and two spots on the cheeks are red and around the neck is painted a red and black necklace. Intact with well preserved colours.
