Isagogicus liber Platonicæ philosophiae per Alcinoum philosophum Græce impressus... (Al colophon:) Venetiis: in aedibus Aldi, et Andreae soceri, maggio 1521. In-8° (mm 163x92). Carte 266 [i.e. 264], [28]. Ancora aldina al frontespizio e in fine. Minime fioriture all'ultima carta ma ottimo esemplare. Legatura in marocchino oliva firmata Riviere, ancora aldina impressa in oro ai piatti entro cornice a filetto con cantonali floreali, titolo e dati editoriali in oro al dorso. Al contropiatto anteriore ex libris 'Caleb Scholefield Mann' con stemma e motto 'Per ardua stabilis' ed etichetta cartacea della Libreria antiquaria Mediolanum.. Prima rara edizione aldina delle opere di Apuleio, a cura di Francesco Torresano. A carta 11 recto inizia con proprio occhietto, l'Introductio ad Platonis dogmata di Albinus Platonicus, con il testo greco. Renouard, 91.8; Ahmanson-Murphy, 202. 8° (163x92 mm). 266, [i.e. 264], [28] leaves. Aldine anchor on title page and at the end. Few foxing on the last leaf otherwise a very fine copy. Olive morocco signed by Riviere, gilt-tooled aldine anchor on the covers, framed with floreal decorations, gilt title and editorial data on the spine. On the front pastedown ex libris 'Caleb Scholefield Mann' with coat of arms and motto 'Per ardua stabilis' and label 'Libreria antiquaria Mediolanum'. First rare aldine edition of the works of Apuleius, edited by Francesco Torresano. On the recto of fol.11, with own half-title, Introductio ad Platonis dogmata by Albinus Platonicus, with the greek text. Renouard, 91.8; Ahmanson-Murphy, 202.
