Lee signed the terms of surrender. / Presented by Mr. and Mrs. O.V. Thiele, June, 1932. See page 488 'Personal Memoirs of U.S. Grant.'" Accompanied by photocopies of ca 1910-30s postcards, which show people / students collecting, posing and rummaging through what was left of the site. The copies include a few shots that show the brick structure and piles of bricks surrounding the site. Condition: Some chips, areas of minor loss to brick. Wear typical considering age.
