Antique Portrait Miniature, attributed to Anton Graff depicting a boy with pull toy and miniature orange tree, engraved gold frame with foliate devices, fitted box, (reverse with evidence of solder). Note: Anton Graff (1736-1813) was among the most talented portrait artists of Goethe's era. Working in Dresden, Graff was known for his sensitive portraits of the nobility and wealthy bourgeois of the period and is considered to have been a forerunner of realism.
