Azerbadjian, Central Caucasus, Ca 1890-1900 The long and narrow format with a narrow centre field is often associated with the district of Talish where some exceptional Caucasian rugs were made. This rug, with its multicoloured sidecords, medium coarse weave and soft natural colours is more likely to have been woven in the Gendje region.
