An exceptional and very rare gilt brass, silver, pearl and multi-coloured glass-set belt buckle and centre seconds watch, made for the Chinese Market Unsigned, watch case stamped with London date letter for 1798 Gilt-finished cylinder movement, white enamel dial, Roman numerals, centre seconds, circular case, hinged back with engraved foliage and floral decoration, centred in the oval belt buckle, translucent royal blue enamel panels set with two colourless pastes to both sides, pearl-set bezel and rim, further set with silver-mounted ruby-coloured and colourless pastes, two gilt loops for the belt to the back, unsigned 77 mm. x 60.5 mm.
