London: Published by W. Richardson, J. Bew, et al, 1789. 4° (270 x 215mm). 4 engraved plates and 4 folding engraved maps. Contemporary calf gilt, (rebacked, spice laid down, corners bumped). FIRST EDITION of this rare, anonymous collection of voyages including those of Cada Mosto, Dias, Vasco de Gama, Columbus, Vespusius, Cortereal, Cabral, de Solis, Cortes, Albuquerque and Magellan. Of the five maps listed in the Directions to Binder, that of the West Indies is not present in this and other copies and may not have been issued. Sabin 26875. Cox I, p. 22.
