AN UNUSUAL LATE VICTORIAN SILVER CENTREPIECE MARK OF AARON KATZ, LONDON, 1897 In the form of a three-tier fruit or cake stand, the three filigree dishes applied with numerous small wild and domestic animals and insects on alternate leaves, the central knopped column with floral-engraved, tapering top terminating in buttercups, oak leaves and acorns, applied as before with small animals, birds and insects, and capped by a ball finial surmounted by a small swan 23¼in. (59cm.) high 73 oz.
