An unusual 20th-Century barometer/hygrometer, stamped B.G.M. 1765968 , made in Germany -- 20cm. (7 7/8in.) high See Colour Illustration The mechanism is housed in a perspex sphere. There is a large scale for conditions Stormy, RAIN, Change, FAIR, Very Dry , also stamped Made in Western Germany . There are two further scales for temperature in Fahrenheit and relative humidity. There are five brass rods protruding from the sphere and a mounting rod with knurled turning handle. The stepped circular brass base is possibly unconnected, and is stamped M.H .
