An Uda School Wakizashi in Mounts Muromachi period (16th century) Sugata [configuration]: honzukuri, iori-mune, toriizori, chu-kissaki Kitae [forging pattern]: masame of ji-nie Hamon [tempering pattern]: gunome in suguha style Horimono [carving]: kakinagashi grooves on both sides Boshi [tip]: ko-midare Nakago [tang]: kurijiri with two holes Habaki [collar]: single, gilt-copper Nagasa [length from tip to beginning of tang]: 50.1cm. Koshirae [set of mounts]: Diagonal ribbed black-lacquer saya with silver ishime-ji kojiri, kurikata, koikuchi and fuchi-kashira carved with foliate scroll in kebori , the fuchi signed Rakurakusai Ishiguro Kazutoshi and with kao , gilt-metal menuki cast as Chinese lions, silver mokko plate tsuba with katakiri chrysanthemums, Edo period (18th-19th) century The blade with a Hozon Token (Sword Worthy of Preserving) certificate issued by the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai (Society for the Preservation of the Japan Art Sword) dated 1988.6.30 The koshirae with a Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu (Mounting Especially Worthy of Preserving) certificate issued by the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai (Society for the Preservation of the Japan Art Sword) dated 1988.6.27
