AN ORMOLU-MOUNTED AND BOULLE BRASS-INLAID AMARANTH AND EBONY COMMODE The bow-fronted rectangular top with interlaced ebony and brass geometric inlays and stylised foliate border, above four walnut-lined long drawers conformingly inlaid, the cornucopia and foliate handles centred by lambrequin-headed masks and fruiting escutcheons separated by upswept acanthus and ropetwist mount, the canted angles headed by foliate scrolled trellis mounts, the sides with a seated nymph amongst foliate-scrolls within a canted rectangular bead-and-reel border, the apron centred by scrolled foliate mounts on splayed feet mounted with espagnolette-masks headed by lambrequin and acanthus sprays, restorations overall, the top relaid, re-veneered, partially re-mounted, the carcase basically 18th Century 48¾in. (124cm.) wide; 32in. (81cm.) high; 25in. (63.5cm.) deep
