Beschreibung:

Unknown photographer: An original American black-and-white press photograph of the French diver, naval officer and explorer Jacques Cousteau (1910–1997) about to submerge. Back with publication date (October 31st 1974) and an ABC news telegram. Photo size 24×16 cm. Frame size 43×33 cm. Throughout his life Jacques Cousteau had a strong passion for photography and in an early age he learned how to master underwater cameras. So convincing were his results, that he - within just eight years - won three Oscars: “The Silent World” in 1956, “The Golden Fish” in 1958 and finally “ World Without Sun” in 1964.
This is an original black-and-white press photography from 1974, which has a slightly yellow backside. No further remarks. Please note that Bruun Rasmussen Auctioneers has not physically examined this item, the estimate is solely based on the seller’s photographic material.
