AN ITALIAN WALNUT AND PARCEL-GILT CENTRE TABLE ROME, 17TH CENTURY, THE END FRIEZES PROBABLY REPLACED IN THE 19TH CENTURY, THE MARBLE TOP 17TH/18TH CENTURY AND ASSOCIATED The rectangular moulded red marble-rimmed verde antico marble top, above a stepped frieze and a cushion moulding with flower-filled band, above a pierced strapwork apron with coat-of-arms with bees to long sides and coat-of-arms with tree to the short sides, on four panelled and richly-carved pilaster supports with floral swags, joined by a shaped box stretcher, on square tapering feet, the moulding below marble top later and the sides and stretcher re-supported, restorations to interior of frieze 37½ in. (95 cm.) high; 59 in. (150 cm.) wide; 47 in. (120 cm.) deep
