AN ITALIAN MAIOLICA TWO-HANDLED OVIFORM VASE EARLY 17TH CENTURY, POSSIBLY FAENZA Painted a compendiario in blue, manganese, yellow and ochre, each side with a winged putto, the blue-striped scroll handles with central yellow ties and tendril terminals, on a spreading circular foot, chip to one handle and upper rim, minor rim chips and glaze flaking 8½ in. (21.6 cm.) high
