AN ITALIAN GILT-BRONZE AND GILT-LEAD MOUNTED PIETRA DURA-INSET EBONY MIRROR 19TH CENTURY The octagonal plate with ripple mouldings, the panelled frame set with rectangular pietra dura panels including jasper, lapis lazuli, alabastro fiorito and onyx, within ormolu borders, flanked by pierced foliate clasps, the sides applied with pierced and scrolling winged angel masks, the conformingly-decorated cresting enriched with a suspending loop, the pine carcase to the reverse with blue bordered label, indistictly inscribed 'L.H. ..leders ...18..', the backplate replaced 14¼ in. (36 cm.) x 12¼ in. (31 cm.)
