An interesting and rare Dutch gilt brass mounted kingswood astronomical table timepiece, Paulus Bramer circa 1740 and later 21.5-cm matted brass dial, engraved silvered ring calibrated IIII-XII-VIII for the hours of day indicated by a revolving disc, the outer ring for the length of day as well the signs of the Zodiac indicated by a horizon also determinating the length of day, a silvered signature plaque signed Paulus Bramer Amsterdam flanked by the figures of mercury and Chronos, apertures for day, date, month, moonphase and tide, pierced Pegasus mounts below, fusee movement with verge escapement and ring turned knopped pillars, custom made later kingwood veneered case with true bell top surmounted by a gilt handle and four berry finials, sides with foliate pierced frets, similar frets to the spandrels of the glazed door, moulded plinth raised on flat feet height 60cm handle down
