An important English wooden dolls' house painted to simulate stucco with Dutch gable ends and slate roof, of five bays and three stories, the windows with painted pediments, the hinged attic with variously shaped dormers, opening at the front in three hinged sections to reveal six rooms, staircase with unusual "port hole" balustrades and landings, opening painted panelled interior doors, original papers and woolwork stair carpet -- 54½in. (38cm) wide, 55in. (140cm.) high and 22½in. (57cm.) deep furniture including: Waltershausen half-tester beds with soft metal canopies, secretaire, chests of drawers, extending dining room table with transfer design, chess table, two china cabinets, rare wall clock, sofa, two chaises longue, two upright and a square piano, dining chairs upholstered in pink silk, dressing table, Davenport, two marble topped side tables, two writing desks, a rare globe and a glazed table clock, gilt metal hanging oil lamp with globe, hall table with mirror, candlestick, swing dressing table mirror, umbrella stand and mock bamboo picture frame, painted tinplate bath and hot water can, soft metal fireplace, kitchen range, chairs and upholstered seats, high chair, screens, picture stand, clocks and bird cage, English oak bed with bedding and early tinplate grate; a German painted wood dolls' house, home-made pink chintz and lace bassinet glass gold fish bowl with fish and a miniature of a lady, family and servants including; Scotsman with moulded and gilded bearskin, Hussar wearing a Busby in military uniform; a Mama with moulded yellow hat with pink lustre feather, baby, all-bisque French boy in Pierrot costume, maid with snood and lustre feather, lady with moulded yellow hat with flower and feather, china-headed vicar, sisters in blue wool and silk dresses, housekeeper with moulded hair and black bow and other moulded haired servants (some damages to furniture and people) (alot) See Colour Plate 14, 15 & Front Cover
