AN IMPORTANT BRONZE FIGURE OF AMOGHASIDDHI BUDDHA TIBET, CIRCA 1200 The Buddha is seated in dhyanasana with the right hand raised in abhayamudra and the left held in dhyanamudra . The figure wears a diaphanous sanghati , crisply arching away from the left shoulder and pooling in elegant folds below the ankles. The face is finely cast with a bow-shaped mouth, elongated eyes, and finely incised brows centered by a raised urna . The hair is in tight curls over the ushnisha , which is topped with a flaming jewel. 14 7/8 in. (37.8 cm.) high
