AN IMPORTANT ALEXANDRITE AND DIAMOND BROOCH, BY MEISTER The cushion-shaped alexandrite weighing 18.78 carats to the pear-shaped and marquise-cut diamond asymmetrical surround, one pear-shaped diamond weighing 1.96 carats and one marquise-cut diamond weighing 1.21 carat, mounted in platinum-iridium, 3.5 cm wide Signed Meister Accompanied by report no. 47170 dated 5 September 2006 from the SSEF Swiss Gemmological Institute stating that the alexandrite is of Sri Lankan origin, no indications of any treatment, displaying a distinct colour-change from green (daylight) to purple (incandescent light) Report nos. 12274 and 12275 dated 5 September from the SSEF stating that the diamond weighing 1.96 carats is D colour, VVS2 clarity and that the diamond weighing 1.21 carats is E colour, VVS2 clarity
