An Imperial Presentation silver-gilt beaker, probably Moscow, mid 18th century of slightly tapering cylindrical form with moulded rim, the sides chased and repoussé with scrolling foliage between three oval medallions surmounted by Imperial crowns, the first engraved with the double-headed Imperial eagle below an unidentified Cyrillic acronym and the remaining two with Baroque emblems of love numbered 741 and 745, the three feet cast as dolphins, apparently unmarked, the underside engraved in Cyrillic S Sh and with N. 28 height 12.8cm, 5in.
