AN IMPERIAL CLOISONNE ENAMEL 'LOTUS' BALUSTER VASE QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795) The vase is heavily cast with an elongated body tapering towards the waisted foot. The neck and body are finely decorated in vivid enamels on a turquoise ground with scrolling Indian lotus, divided by a ruyi band repeated around the rim and foot. The neck is applied with angular-form handles enamelled with C-scrolls suspending loose rings, above a gilt bow-string band at the shoulder. 13 3/4 in. (35 cm.) high
