An extremely fine and detailed exhibition standard 2in scale model of the Fowler Class V 16 NHP single cylinder two speed four shaft Ploughing Engine No.6315 built by H.D. White -- 25½ x 48in (64 x 122cm) With braised copper boiler hydraulic tested 1993 to 150 psi with fittings including water and pressure gauges, twin salter safety blower, whistle, injector, waterlift, clack and blowdown valves. Engine details include cylinder 2in bore x 2in stroke, footplate controlled draincocks, ratchet operated lubricator, bar type crosshead guides, wedged and bolted strapped big end with split brasses, Stephenson's link reverse, eccentric driven feed pump and by-pass, double crownwheel and double pinion drive to cable drum with clutch and selector to give two drum speeds and spoked flywheel. Chassis details include worm and roller, chain and rod steering, spoked straked wheels, the rear with removable driving pins, damper, injector, water lift, suction pipe and rose, whistle, drum winding gear and fairleads, tool box, footboard and many other details. Finished in black with red and yellow lining and highly polished brightwork and with etched plates, bucket, firing shovel and boiler certificate See Colour Illustration This model was awarded Gold Medal and Bill Hughes Cup M.E.
