Early 19th Century and later The case with brass handles to the sides above glazed side panels, the brass dial with engraved white metal chapter ring, matted centre with date square, signed on inset white metal plaque, with strike/silent ring in the arch, the five pillar movement with twin line and fusees, verge escapement, strike and trip repeat on bell, foliate scroll and ho-ho bird engraving to the back plate; later seatboard, case with restorations; winding key 25½ in. (65 cm.) high
