AN ENAMELLED AND DIAMOND-INSET GOLD HILTED CURVED SWORD ( TULWAR ) MUGHAL INDIA, LATE 17TH/18TH CENTURY The gold hilt and chape inset with diamonds arranged in floral sprays with emerald-inset foliage on red enamelled ground within cartouches outlined in green enamel, the rounded pommel with a floral repoussé decorated cap with a rounded finial, with late single-edged curved steel blade in silk covered sheath decorated with metal-thread highlighted floral blooms, with chape with inset and enamelled decoration similar to the hilt, in very good condition 29¼in. (75cm.) long
