AN EDWARDIAN SILVER-GILT CUP AND COVER OF GEORGE I STYLE, MARK OF HENRY AND ARTHUR VANDER, LONDON, 1904 With angular scroll handles and applied central girdle, decorated above and below with applied scrolls, buds, pendant foliage and bearded masks, the foot chased with basket-weave diaperwork, the cover with gadroon rim, chased guilloche band and knop finial, inscribed underneath the foot This cup is a copy of one given by George III to the Marquis Townshend , a further presentation inscription around the cover dated 1906 14 in. (36 cm.) high 87 oz. (2700 gr.)
