AN AXE-HEAD with socket of oblong section (slightly damaged), the blade with long broad 'beard' cut off straight at the bottom, stamped on one face with lines, dots and twice with a mark, a falchion in a shield; another, similar, the head narrower and with shorter 'beard' (piece broken from edge), and tubular socket; another, stamped on one face with a D; and another, with offset blade curving up to a rounded point at the top and cut off straight at the bottom, socket with cusped edges and small tongue-shaped extension, stamped with dots and the letters D.F. on one side, on later wooden staff studded with iron nails at the base, all 16th/17th Century 10¾in., 11in., 10in. and 9½in. heads (4)
