Brass stirrup hilt, the languet molded with Federal eagle, the quillon with eaglehead finial; eaglehead pommel with prominent brown and partly open beak. Ribbed bone grip bound with brass wire. Silvered brass two-ring scabbard engraved with foliage, the mounts molded with blossoms and intertwined banding. Condition: Blade with patches of light spotting, a few small nicks to edge and retaining much of the blued and gilt decoration. Hilt with slight traces of silver plating. Grip with filled repairs below the pommel. Scabbard with scabbard dents and retaining perhaps 40% of the silver finish. See Illustration
