A view of the palatial hotel that once was a summer palace for the Shah of Persia that may serve as the meeting place for the reported forthcoming conference between Russia's marshal Joseph Stalin, President Roosevelt and Prime Minister Churchill. The hotel is about seven miles outside Tehran, the capital city of Iran”, a press photograph of one of the potential sites for the 'Tehran Conference' (codenamed Eureka) taken before the event and dated 4 December 1943 during the actual conference. This strategic meeting was held in Tehran following the Anglo-Soviet invasion of Iran in the autumn of 1941 to secure its support for the Allied cause.
