An album containing over 200 photographs of Pahlavi state visits and royal ceremonies, original and press photographs [c. 1940-1960] single album with 203 loose photographs mounted with corner-pockets, all but 1 of these black and white or sepia, other printed in colour, some with original copyright stamps and press announcements, others small-format photograph, some mounted on card, varying sizes from 70 by 65 mm. to 220 by 170 mm.; housed in modern album, bound in bottle green limp calf with gilt Pahlavi crown mounted to upper cover Some highlights here include: (i) The Shah of Iran on a State visit to India, Delhi, dated 22 February 1956; (ii) The Shah of Iran with King Farrouk of Egypt, dated 18 August, 1950; (iii) “Five of the fifteen finalists in the first annual International Teen Princess Pageant stroll down Chicago's famous Michigan Avenue...”, dated 18 May 1966; and (iv) “Possible rendez-vous for 'Big Three', Tehran, Iran. A view of the palatial hotel that once was a summer palace for the Shah of Persia that may serve as the meeting place for the reported forthcoming conference between Russia's marshal Joseph Stalin, President Roosevelt and Prime Minister Churchill. The hotel is about seven miles outside Tehran, the capital city of Iran”, a press photograph of one of the potential sites for the 'Tehran Conference' (codenamed Eureka) taken before the event and dated 4 December 1943 during the actual conference. This strategic meeting was held in Tehran following the Anglo-Soviet invasion of Iran in the autumn of 1941 to secure its support for the Allied cause.
