An 18th Century silver admission ticket for Beverley Racecourse stand, An 18th Century silver admission ticket for Beverley Racecourse stand, no 48, of oval form inscribed to the reverse with the name of the subscriber Rev'd Gee, 4 1/2 cm wide, 0.15ozs, un-hallmarked ***Rev'd Gee was a steward of the racecourse in 1767 and part responsible for organising the building of the new stand. This lot is from a subscription set of 330 silver admission tickets sold to members of Beverley Racecourse in 1767 to raise £1,000 to build a new stand on the Westwood. The tickets allowed the subscriber free admission and the Beverley Race Company have kindly agreed to extend this benefit to the new owner for three years from the date of the auction. Sold with letter from Beverley Race Company confirming free admission to Grandstand for three years from date of auction
