Believed to a be an Ames Model 1860 US Navy Cutlass with a blade measuring 26" long with a ricasso of 1.25" on a 5" grip with a 5.25" guard and a .5" pommel. The blade is steel with no visible stamps or signatures. Brass guard and pommel with hammered pins connecting the guard as a single piece. Condition: The blade has a lot of tarnish but is otherwise in fair to good condition. There is some tarnish on the guard but is otherwise in tact and in fair condition. The grip has some chipping. Overall in fair condition with wear consistent with age and use.
