Norwalk (CT): The Easton Press, 1979. 8vo, maroon morocco with gilt geometric designs on front, spine and back, four spine bands, gilt lettering on spine, a.e.g., ribbon marker, watered silk endpages, printed on acid-neutral paper, 600pp. A bicentennial printing of one of the most important series of papers published at the time of the formation of the new nation. One of the "100 Greatest Books Ever Written" series. Bowen, Catherine Drinker. Miracle at Philadelphia. The Story of the Constitutional Convention May to September 1787. New York: The American Past for BOMC, 1986. 8vo, white printed cloth boards, with dj and slipcase, ribbon marker, endpapers printed with sections of the Constitution and notes from the meeting, book design by Warren Chappell, 346pp. Condition: First is excellent, possibly unread. Second has minor wrinkling to top of dj, else excellent.
