Exquisitely rare Colonial-era newspaper printed a year before the start of the Revolutionary War. This issue contains local New York City coverage of the British North American Colonies' reaction to the Intolerable Acts, the punitive legal measures implemented in 1774 by the British Government following the Boston Tea Party. Specifically, the issue contains coverage of the East India Tea Ship headed to New York City being forced to return to England without unloading its cargo of tea in New York. The Boston Tea Party and the Philadelphia Tea Party, both of which took place in late 1773, are also mentioned. Condition: Few minor stains, some toning. Some light wear to edges.
