Preserved in buckram chemise and matching quarter brown morocco clamshell case by the Lakeside Press, Chicago, spine with longitudinal title lettering between two raised bands and two sporting tools. Provenance : purchased from Spencer, London, 15 July 1937. SIX EXQUISITE MINIATURE PLATES OF RACING , without title or imprint, but probably forming part of Ackermann’s ‘Sporting Medallions’ series. The title on the case reads: ‘Miniature Sporting Prints by Henry Alken (circa 1827).’ Spitzer p. 61.
