Since the play was published in 1930 and ran on Broadway until 1935, and a Hollywood production was released in 1936, it is unknown which version Hirschfeld depicts here. The original owner Henry H. Schlosser ("HHS"), who reportedly acquired the piece in 1939, was a veteran, whose story is featured in Larry King's "Love Stories of WWII". C
