Folding chart and two hand-coloured aquatint frontispieces by J.A. Atkinson. It further marked the beginning of Russian expansion in the Pacific, particularly in fur trading. Krusenstern had a strong corps of officers, including Lisiansky, Langsdorff and Kotzebue, all of whom later conducted important expeditions. Von Krusenstern's account of Asia also includes descriptions of China and the China Sea, the Kamchatka Peninsula, and Indonesia. Abbey Travel 1; Brunet III, 700; Cordier 459; Hill p.167; Sabin 38331.
