I, 67 fine hand-colored aquatint views (lacking plate 35: All Souls) and 17 stipple and line engraved plates of university figures in academic costume, list of plates. 2 volumes, 4to, 337 x 280 mm. (13¼ x 11 1/8 in.), contemporary calf over marbled boards, joints starting, a few corners slightly bumped; lacking plate 35, some offsetting of plates to text. FIRST EDITION, ordinary paper issue without the Founders portraits. Several of the plates except No. 50, as indicated by Abbey, are in the second state. Abbey Scenery 280; Tooley 5; Ray English 40.
