Stevengraph ribbon featuring a portrait of President Abraham Lincoln surrounded by patriotic symbols, an Emancipation Proclamation scroll, and the text (from his second inaugural address) "With malice toward none, with charity for all, with firmness in the right as God gives us to see the right, let us finish the work we are in, to bind up the nation's wounds, to care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow and his orphans; to do all which may achieve and cherish a just and lasting peace among ourselves and with all nations", 2.5 x 13.5 in., on original 3.25 x 21 in. paper mount identified to Phoenix Silk Manufacturing Co., with locations in Paterson, NJ and Allentown and Pottsville, PA, noting that the ribbon was woven at the World's Columbian Exposition, Chicago, 1893. Condition: Creases in ribbon. Some toning to paper mount.
